How do I create a landing page?

Part 1: Setting Up the Web Template

To create a website template, first go to Setup, then Asset Management, then Templates, then select "Web" in the folder section and click "Create" 

Choose your personalization type (i.e. whether you want to make the web page a questionnaire or standard) and click “Go”. (For the vast majority of cases you will want to select "No").


Give your template a name and description and set of filters, and then click "Next". 

Upload an image of your thumbnail, select the size of your web template, choose any branding standard if applicable, and then click “Next”.

 

The “Add” tab will allow you to add a variety of media to your web page.

 

To begin adding objects to your template, first click on the section button.

Click and drag to select the size of section. 

Click section to customize the visual settings for the section and then click done.

You can repeat this process multiple times if you want multiple color schemes.

Once you have set up a section, you place any of the items from the "Add" tab within the section.

All objects are mobile compatible by default, meaning the object will automatically adjust its size to fit the reader's device. 

If you want to change this to make the object static, click on the object to open the object property box, go the "Object Property" section, select the "Mobile Disconnected" option.

"The fit within selected area" option allows you determine whether or not the program is allowed to change the landing page text size based off of the users device. 

 

Part 2: Adding a web form

 

When the Web template editor opens up, click on the “Add” option and select “Form Container”.

 

Hit the “Plus” button in the form window.

Select the fields you want, and then scroll down and click “Done”.



Your new form will be inserted into the landing page.




Part 3: Attaching a landing page to a print asset or Web Template

Click on the form in your landing page to open the form options menu.

Click on the Form Property dropdown box.

Here you can change some of the styling of your form as well as determine what will appear for a user after a form is submitted.

If you want users to be able to view a webpage after filling out your form, click in the “URL” box and type in the link.

You can also click on the link manager icon on the right to access links saved in the software.

If you use the link manager option, you can select from trackable links or other assets in the software.

To add an asset you created in the software, click on Media.

For documents you uploaded to the storage galleries, click on the Gallery options.

The Links option will show you trackable links.

In this example, I’ve selected Media.

I can select from any of the media types I’ve setup in the software. I can also choose whether or not I want one of my personal assets to be used, or one of the templates setup in the software.

 

After making your selection, click “Done”.

 

Part 4: Add a submit button


There are two ways to create a submit button. You can either use an image or a call to action button. In this example we will use the latter. 

 

 

Drag and drop the item where you want it.

 

 

 

If you have selected a C.T.A, click on the item to edit its appearance, and if necessary add a link, and then click "save". 

 

Finally, click on the form to open the Form Contianer Object  box, then go to the form property section use the Submit Option drop down menu to select an object to act as your submit button.

 

  

  

Part 5: Attaching a Message to Form

 

Now, let’s add a thank you message. Click on the Add feature and select “Text”.



Type the text you want to appear after the form is submitted. This will replace the form.

 

Click accept and then select the layers option. Click the edit icon next to the text layer you added to re-name it “Thank You”. This will make it easier to find later.



Now click on the form and pick from the Form Container options window.

 

In the After Submit drop-down box, select “Thank You”.

 

Click “Save” to save your work, or “Next” to exit.

 

Part 5: Customizing your Landing Page URL

 

To customize a landing page URL, go to “Manage”, then “Web”, then “Landing Page”, and then click on the template that you wish to edit.  

From there, click on the edit button next to the URL.

Enter in the customized name that you wish to enter the URL and then click on the checkmark.
